A simple ‘thank you‘ can go a long way!
Anyone that knows me, knows that I tend to walk around with a box of Thank You cards in my purse simply because I enjoy the intentional appreciation thank you notes show a person.
I even have a Thank You jar at home to celebrate the things I’m grateful for.
Saying ‘thank you’ is a major deal to me!
However, the handwritten format of a Thank You card isn’t as immediate, sustainable and affordable as I’d like it to be.
Just thinking about the hand cramping makes me cringe!
Nevertheless, strengthening my real-life connections matters to my well-being, and while on the hunt for an alternative, I discovered Paperless Post.
How I Discovered Paperless Post
My first encounter with Paperless actually occurred in November of last year as my family and I prepared to visit my home, Barbados.
While we were coordinating with my parents and planning details, we received a virtual invite to attend an upcoming birthday celebration in January 2019.
What I experienced was an easy, animated landing page that gave me all the information for the highly anticipated event. On top of that, it included the ability to contact the host plus add the event to my calendar so I could access all the info on my phone.
It truly was a miniature website – easily accessible and useful!
See it for yourself here.
With that experience imprinted on my mind, I didn’t hesitate to use Paperless Post again to send Thank You cards to those who made my daughter’s first birthday celebrations possible and special.
Unique Thank You Notes: How I Currently Use Paperless Post
The fact that my little family has successfully made it to the first-year milestone was a major reason to celebrate!
However, we had to acknowledge that we didn’t make it by ourselves.
We had a village behind us!
Everyone who gave us diapers, brought us food during the first few months, and babysat while hubby and I went on a date deserved to know how much we valued their investment in us.
So it was a no-brainer to use Paperless Post’s unique thank you notes to send our love and appreciation.
Here’s how I recently used it:
- I visited www.paperlesspost.com, logged in and selected the Greetings menu option.
- Then I filtered the options available by clicking the Thank you category.
- I chose my preferred design, and made customizations for everything, including the envelope liner!
- Next, I entered all the recipients I wanted to send Thank You notes to.
- Clicked Send Now and, just like that, I was done!
Let’s be clear though, this isn’t free! LOL
I used coins to send my Thank You notes.
Coins are Paperless Post’s way to send greeting cards and you can buy a package for as little as $10 for 25 coins. That gives you the ability to customize all the design details I mentioned.
And by the way, you can use the same design for multiple recipients!
So let’s do some math. At the rate of 5 coins per recipient with the same design, $10 in coins equals 5 cards!
I can confirm that that cost is way more affordable than purchasing stamps and physical Thank You notes. When I did that last year for my baby shower, I spent double that amount just on the stamps!! 🙈
