Every week I am bit by the wanderlust bug. I dream of adventures to Europe, Asia, South America and the Caribbean. Most of the time, it’s brought on by an acute case of homesickness (because I haven’t seen the white sand beaches of Barbados in over years). Nevertheless, I usually satisfy this with a road trip, and at Thanksgiving, I take an annual one with my boyfriend to visit his family in Pennsylvania.
Unlike traveling by airplane, road trips pose an unusual style challenge. I mean it’s a trip in a car, and that does not allow for heels and super fancy clothes. Well, you could but how they’d look and feel after any trip over 3 hours is questionable lol.
My preference for road trips is to be as comfortable as possible. Outside of sweatpants and a hoodie, I opt for joggers or harem pants and whatever blouse I’m feeling at the moment.
This year was no different.
With my messy hair and latest tribal necklace from Alora Boutique, I achieved a simple outfit of the day that was chalk full of my personality and was suitable for the long drive in the car.
How do you travel in style?
