God, I’m so frustrated…but I trust you.
These words could not be any more accurate than during this season of my life. And this outfit is the epitome of the answer to any stressed and overwhelmed heart, mine included.
Behind the smiles and behind the stunning photographs, is a human, one who is sometimes overwhelmed by the demand of being an entrepreneur who is getting married, has a full-time job, and is practicing self-care. Some days, I wonder if I am making an impact. Other days, I’m cloud 9 because I there was some confirmation that I was making progress and it was being seen.
It’s easy to keep going when everything is hunky dory but the frustration and self-doubt that kicks in when plans fail and roadblocks pop up tend to bring out the worst in me. I tend to lapse into a frustration that can almost cause paralysis and is accompanied by intense fear that I like to hide by using the word ‘stressed.’
But….and that’s a big one, I find comfort in Scripture, particularly my favorite verse – Proverbs 31:25.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.
(That’s what says in the New Living Translation, NLT for short)
It just the right dose of Jesus that I need, resonating with me that God has made me strong enough to go through whatever it is I’m facing, and reminding me that I can still smile because God holds my world in His hands.
Like I said, the outfit says it all – All You Need Is Jesus.
