It was one of the worst days of my life.
There I was, sitting on the floor of our second room. There were piles of clothes all over the floor, tears streaming down my face and snot dripping out my nose.
Nothing in my closet fit.
It wasn’t the cliche “I have no clothes to wear.” It was several unsuccessful attempts to get every outfit I could think of to actually look good on my body. My new body, that is.
I remember bae walking in to the room to check on me. I was supposed to have been dressed and ready to go over fifteen minutes ago. But after seeing my disheveled state, and with genuine concern in his eyes, he stooped down and hugged me until I stopped hyperventilating.
It was my first style meltdown….EVER.
And, that day I made up in my mind to take better care of my body. From the inside out.

Building Body Confidence
And I said to my body. Softly. ‘I want to be your friend.’
It took a deep long breath and replied, ‘I have been waiting my whole life for this.’
I began a holistic approach to my body confidence.
First, I stopped the fat talk. There was no one else telling me I was fat but me. That negative self-talk had to change. I was beautiful. I am beautiful. You are beautiful.
Secondly, I chose my favorite body parts. Yes, you read that right. My body wasn’t all bad! I had some changes that I loved. For example, my new curves aka my hips and butt. They gave me more of a pear shape than I’d had before, and I loved it!
And last but not least, I hit the gym. This time, though, I had a different mindset. I went to the gym because I wanted to love my body more, not because I needed to “fix it.”
I chose self-health over self-judgment, and this became the key to my positive body image.
It became the foundation of my beautiful.
Now all I needed to do was fill my closet with clothes that enhanced that feeling, and this crop top outfit from TOBI was a stunning match.
A Charming Crop Top Outfit That Will Enhance Your Beauty
Crop tops have been a staple of fashion since the 1980s. They have had several appearances in the spotlight, thanks to celebrities like Madonna, and pop superstars like the Spice Girls. However, instead of just being a clothing item used to show off washboard abs, crop tops are now worn by every body type as a way of embracing self-confidence.
